What's on this Summer?
We like to keep our finger on the pulse with what’s happening in and around Chichester and spread the word within our community. This summer there are some great things happening which we wanted to share with you…….
The Festival of Chichester
This has been running since early June but there are still plenty of things happening up until 9th July.
There is a variety of events from concerts to spoken word, community run events to arts & craft workshops and theatre performances. The full listings can be found here.
The Chichester Gala – 1st July, Priory Park, 10am – 4pm
Now, we like this one because it’s all about bringing the community together in one place, Chichester is a fab place to live and work, so get down there with the family and help to create that fantastic Chichester community spirit we know and love.
This year’s theme is Kings Coronation. There will be lots of local charities there promoting themselves and raising funds for their individual causes. As well as local sellers there will be entertainment for the adults and kids, BBQ, refreshments and lots of activities throughout the day. Set in the perfect Chichester location of Priory Park this event is one for all the family!

Chichester Cheese and Chilli Festival – 1st & 2nd July, Oaklands Park
Former students of Chichester University are bringing their Cheese and Chilli festival to Oaklands Park this year. A wealth of cheese and chilli’s to try and buy, a beer festival, live music, kid’s entertainment, chilli & hot food eating competition, food demonstrations, crazy golf and even dogs are welcome. It sounds like A LOT of fun.

Chichester Summer Street Party – 9th July, 10-4pm
This is a great day out in Chi, such a buzz in the centre of town. So much going on for the kids, delicious food vendors, local retailers showcasing their products in the fashion show and lots of live music and entertainment. As well as that, this year it will combine with The Cross Market, celebrating local makers and designers.
CFT summer sessions – 21st July 6:30pm, CFT, Oaklands Park
This year the Chichester Festival Theatre is creating a chilled-out summer vibe on Oaklands Park every Friday from 21st July until 1st September. Relax in a deckchair, sip on an ice-cold wine or beer and enjoy live music from local talent.

Chichester International Film Festival - 4-27 August at Chichester Cinema at New Park (and other venues!)
One dear to our hearts, a regular using the meeting rooms at Rume2, New Park are back hosting their International Film Festival In New Park and across Chichester including the kick off open air cinema in Priory Park, this one should not be missed…..
ASTEROID CITY on Fri 4th - Wes Anderson's latest and possibly the most dazzling, rich and playfully self-reflexive of his films to date with a stunning cast including Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Cranston, Tom Hanks, Tilda Swinton and Margot Robbie - book tickets here
INDIANA JONES & THE DIAL OF DESTINY on Sat 5th - Daredevil archaeologist Indiana Jones returns to race against time to retrieve a legendary dial that can change the course of history, this time accompanied by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas and Mads Mikkelsen. Book tickets here.
ELEMENTAL on Sun 6th - An original new feature film from Pixar Studios (‘Toy Story’) set in Element City, where fire, water, land and air residents live together. Book tickets here.
