Few “modern" inventions have a bigger impact on our health than ‘the chair’! Most of us spend more time sitting than we do anything else (an average of 9 hours!). We know that sitting too much isn’t great but do you know the true costs to your physical & mental health? What does hours spent in a chair do to your alignment, pelvic floor, breathing, mood, energy to name a few?
Exercising is great but with most of us spending hours in repetitive positions our bodies are not primed to move well when we take it for a run, play sports or even doing a basic thing like walking. Not only do you not get the most out of your exercise, you’re also increasing the risk of injury.
There’s a gap between being sedentary and exercising (i.e. everyday life!) and what you do most of the time has the biggest impact on you. What can you do to sit better, sit less and sit differently? Is the chair actually the best piece of gym equipment in your house?
This is a super practical session perfect for anyone who spends more than a few hours a day sitting (hello everyone!!). This is for YOU if you want to improve your physical & mental health with minimum investment!
It is definitely NOT an exercise class but you will use your body (if you want to, no pressure). The chair isn’t going anywhere so why not learn to use it to your benefit?
