MOVEMENT & MINDSET SNACKS
Cecilie Jacobsen
We all know that exercise is good for us but we need to reframe or think differently about why and how we exercise. Exercise has become synonymous with losing weight or looking good but there’s a lot more to it than that. Staying physically active is vital for good health but how can you stay active when your job requires you to sit at a desk for hours? Just as we wouldn’t save our 8 (or however many) glasses of water to the end of the day and then drink it all in one go, we shouldn’t save up all our physical activity until the end of the day when you can go to the gym or a class. How about adding some movement “snacks" into your day? I’ll be sharing tips and ideas of how you can add more movement into your working day.
Our brains are brilliant, they will mould and change in response to how they're being used (just like our bodies) and nothing is fixed or set in stone. Our state (or mood) will colour everything we do so it is really important that we have the right state for the right job. How amazing would it be to be able to change the way we feel in a few simple steps? How can you use your breath, posture, language and/or your thoughts to create a different experience? I’ll share a few tips on how you can be more mindful of your mindset.
